Obituary

TAUNTON – Maureen J. (Taylor) Williams, wife of the late Frederick Williams, died at Morton Hospital on Sept. 20, 2009.
She was 75.
Born in Paterson, NJ, the daughter of the late Robert and Elizabeth (McGrath) Taylor, she was raised and educated in Brighton schools, She later raised her family in Hudson.
Employed by the Victor Island Barge Co. of New Bedford as an office assistant for many years, Mrs. Williams was communicant of St. Andrew the Apostle Church.
A six-year breast cancer survivor, she enjoyed cooking, baking, and knitting.
She leaves two daughters, Maureen Winter of Raymond, NH, and Anne Best of Thomasville, NC; a brother, Robert Taylor of Hopkinton; a sister, Fidelis Taylor of Kennebunkport, ME; three grandchildren, Walter Zink of Brighton, Elizabeth Allred of Manchester, NH, and Ryan Ibbotson of Taunton; and four great-grandchildren.
She was also the sister of the late Roberta Frates.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 261 Tremont St. Taunton, Tuesday at 10:30 am.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Her cremated remains will be interred at the MA National VA Cemetery, Bourne at 12:30 pm.
