O’HARA, Margaret “Joan” (nee Flagg), age 83, of Lakewood, NJ, formerly of Teaneck, NJ, died on Saturday, September 19, 2009.
Beloved wife of the late Peter O’Hara. Devoted mother of Wayne O’Hara and his wife Mary, Lynn O’Hara, Peggy Reynolds and her husband Tom, and was predeceased by Kathleen O’Hara. Dear sister of Georgina Palma and was predeceased by Sister Ann de Lourdes Flagg CSJP, Helen Clements, Ann Wiseman, Claude Flagg and Richard Flagg. Loving Grandmother of Ryan and Addam Reynolds, Mayghen Palomino and her husband Michael, Sean and Colleen O’Hara. Cherished great grandmother of Michael A. Palomino, and is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Joan was a Nurses’ Aide at Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck for many years. In retirement, she was a volunteer First Aider in her community. She was a parishioner of St. Dominic’s RCC in Brick, NJ and a past parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi RCC in Ridgefield Park, NJ.
Friends and family are invited for visitation at Volk Leber Funeral Home, 789 Teaneck Road, Teaneck, NJ on Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will begin Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home, and then to St. Francis of Assisi RCC in Ridgefield Park for a 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment to follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Tenafly, NJ. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her name to the American Heart Association.
