FICARRA, Anthony J. age 90 of Teaneck, NJ passed away on Monday September 14, 2009. Beloved husband of Magdalena “Magda” (nee: Van der Meer). Son of the late Joseph and Giacomina Ficarra. Devoted father of Joseph and wife Willa, Thomas H. and wife Christine, Maria Kinder and husband Christopher, and the late Janine Stelmack. Dear brother of Anne Morvillo, Rosmarie Battaglini, and the late Louis Ficarra. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren: Michelle, Matthew, Claudia, Kimberly, Gregory and Luke and six great grandchildren. Anthony served his country during WWII in the United States Army. He had been an Electronic Engineer with Columbia University and Riverside Research Institute in New York City for 30 years. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Volk Leber Funeral Home 789 Teaneck Rd. Teaneck, NJ. Funeral service at 9AM on Saturday at the funeral home, then to St. Anastasia’s RCC for a Mass of Christian burial at 10AM with burial to follow at Christ the King Cemetery in Franklin Lakes, NJ. Friends and family are invited to visit 2-4PM and 7-9PM on Friday.
