James F. Walsh age 69 of Canton passed away September 16th at the Kaplan Hospice in Danvers. Born and raised in Boston, he attended Boston Schools, graduated from Boston College, received his Master’s in Education from Boston State Teachers College & his PHD from Boston College. He served in the Army National Guard for several years. He was the Superintendant of Schools in Brookline for many years and was also Deputy Superintendant of Schools in Boston and was an Associate Professor of Educational Leadership at Boston College & Simmons. He was a member of the Mass Assn of School Superintendants, the New England School Development Council and a Consultant for Teachers 21. Beloved husband of Barbara H. (Robery). Father of Courtney A. Walsh of R.I. & Kerry L. Mudry & her husband Michael of CT. Grandfather of Samantha, Brady & Marissa Mudry. Brother of Marilyn C. Corsini & her husband Louis of Dedham & Dorothy T. Fleming & her husband Michael of Milton. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Friday 2-8 pm. Funeral mass at St. Ignatius Church 28 Commonwealth Ave Chestnut Hill Saturday morning at 10 . Interment Canton Corner Cemetery.
