Jerrie Turner Noland, 68, of Tifton died Wednesday, September 16, 2009, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2009, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Dr. Danny Ray will officiate with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Bobby Stone, Harmon Tawzer Jr., Lindsey Hill, Wyatt Barrett, Wade Barrett and Dalon Dotson will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 18, 2009, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Noland was born on June 1, 1941 in Tifton and was the daughter of James “Bud” Turner and Eliza “Teeter” Hallman Turner, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Celeste Suggs. She was a homemaker and a member of Eldorado Baptist Church.
Mrs. Noland is survived by her husband, Wallace Wayne Noland of Tifton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Wayne and Vondia Noland of Valdosta and Richard Marcus and Tamatha Noland of Oxford; one daughter and son-in-law, Tammie Elaine and Charles Hanson of Longview, Texas; three brothers, James Turner of Atlanta, Jim Turner of South Carolina and Clay Turner of South Carolina; two sisters, Bonnie Barrett of Tifton and Betty Dotson of Tifton; and seven grandchildren.
