John C. Freeburn, 56, of Marion, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2009. He was born in New York City and was a resident of Nyack, NY, before moving to Massachusetts. He attended Rockland Country Day School and Harvard College and worked as a Software Developer and Architect, most recently co-founding Anagraph Medical Solutions.
John will be remembered for his inner strength, wisdom, compassion, and sense of humor. He showed his huge capacity to love by always helping everyone he encountered. His circle of friends remains deeply connected to him and to each other.
John is survived by his sister, Melania Freeburn, of Philadelphia, PA, and his partner, Susan Bellevue, of Marion, MA. He also leaves behind his beloved dogs, Annabelle and Violet.
John was a member of the Serlingpa Meditation Center, 512 Pleasant Street, New Bedford, MA. A memorial service will be held there on October 17th at 11:00am.
A commemoration will also take place on November 14th at 11:00am at Grace Episcopal Church, 130 1st Avenue, Nyack, New York.
