
LEICESTER-Theodore “Ted” Paluk, 80, of Leicester, died Sunday, September 13th in St. Vincent Hospital with his wife and son by his side. He leaves his devoted wife of 44 years, Pamela; his son, Christian Paluk, who filled him with immense pride; his daughter-in-law, Heidi Paluk; and his grandchildren, Abigale and Benjamin.
He also leaves from a former marriage, a son, John Paluk of Athol; a daughter, Joann Piscione of Holden; and their children and grandchildren; a sister Anne Dimitri of Philadelphia, PA and a brother, Piro Spiro of West Boylston; a brother-in-law, William Guillow and his wife Ruth; and several nephews and nieces. Two brothers, Christy Spiro and Vasil Pitro and a sister, Andronia Nicholas, predeceased him.
Ted was born on December 7, 1928 in Worcester, the son of Terpin and Xanthipi Paluk. He was a graduate of Worcester Boys Trade School. Ted was a Korean War U.S. Army veteran. He was the owner of a construction company, Modern Builders, building both residential and commercial properties for many years. Ted served as sewer commissioner in Leicester and was a Scoutmaster for more than 30 years for Troops 123 and 127, where he helped at least 13 young men achieve the rank of Eagle Scout under his guidance and diligence. Ted enjoyed weekend scouting trips and loved Sunday morning flea markets with his friend, Art. Most of all, his home and family gave him the greatest pleasure.
The funeral is Thursday, September 17th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester with a service at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church, 535 Salisbury Street, Worcester. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday, September 16th from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
