Rosalie Cynthia (Van Hagen) Ollivierre, 82, of New Bedford died Saturday September 12, 2009 unexpectedly at St. Luke's Hospital.
Born in New York City, the daughter of the late Feleto and Sarah (Schiewhardt) Van Hagen, she was raised in New Bedford, by her late uncle and aunt, William and Augusta Suares, and lived in New Bedford for most of her life.
Mrs. Ollivierre was formerly employed as a site supervisor for Coastline Elderly Nutrition Program at Taber Mills.
She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed going to Foxwoods.
Survivors include six children, Steven Ollivierre, Carol Ollivierre, and Gayle Turner, all of New Bedford, Jeffrey Ollivierre and his wife Jane and Tracey Ollivierre Correia, all of Dartmouth, and Troi Ollivierre of New York City; eleven grandchildren, Kevin and Steven Ollivierre, Jr., Raegan Ollivierre DeCouto and her husband Troy, Tyson Lopes, Cassandra and Eric Turner, Jaie and Alex Ollivierre, Chloe, Chase, and Cydney Correia; nine great-grandchildren, Tyler Ollivierre, Elijah and Pierce Cardoso, Jose Rivera, Jonathan and Alexa Ollivierre, Nadia Lopes, Mya Silva, and Ava Venerable; her former husband Herbert A. Ollivierre and his wife Nancy, and their children Brad and Jane Kelly Ollivierre.
She was the mother of the late Lynn Ollivierre Rebeiro who passed away June 27, 2009, and the sister of the late Melvin Schiewardt.
At her request, she will be cremated. Her Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday at 7 PM at Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday from 4-7 PM prior to the service. For directions and guestbook, please visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
