Meredith Henry Warren, 90, Smyrna, TN, formerly of Clarksville, died Sunday, September 13, 2009, at Peach Tree Center, Smyrna. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Neal-Tarpley Chapel with Brother Steve Kirby and Brother Tim Lavender officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service Thursday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born July 27, 1919 in Linden, TN son of the late Moncey Earl Warren and Stella Mae Hawkins Warren. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Caldwell Warren and a brother, Elbert Warren. Mr. Warren was a retired comptroller with the City of Clarksville Gas and Water Department. He was a former Elder of Hilldale Church of Christ and a faithful member of Smyrna Church of Christ. Survivors include a daughter, Betty Warren, Smyrna,TN; and a sister, Peggy Wayland, Hohenwald, TN.
