Jane C. Marceau, 54, of 67 Davidson Dr. died August 15, 2003 in Lakes Region General Hospital after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Laconia on October 4, 1948, the daughter of Roger L. Marceau Sr. and Marjorie (Allard) Marceau.
Raised in Laconia, she graduated from Laconia High School with the class of 1966. She was a valued employee of Sawyer’s Jewelry Store for more than ten years. Miss Marceau studied at Plymouth State College and received her B.S. degree in Business and Accounting in 1984.
She moved to Arizona and was employed in the accounting business with several firms until she returned to Laconia in 1996. At the time of her final illness, she was employed in the accounting firm of R. E. Reed Company.
Family members include a daughter, Tamara Marceau of Laconia; two granddaughters, Jennifer Leonard and Elizabeth Leonard, both of Laconia; two sisters, Patricia Saulnier of Laconia and Linda Kelley of Belmont; a brother, Roger L. Marceau Jr. of Laconia; several nieces and nephews.
A calling hour was held in the Simoneau & Lambert Funeral Home, 139 Church St. Wednesday from 9 to 10 AM. A Funeral Mass was celebrated in Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Ave. at 10:05 AM. Rev. Gary Kosmowski was the celebrant. Urn burial followed in the Village Cemetery, Meredith.In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Community Health & Hospice, 780 N. Main St., Laconia NH 03246.
