Juliene Padgett Wilson, 86,of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Saturday, September 12, 2009, at her residence.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, September 14, 2009, at Dorminy Mill Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Wilson and Rev. Ike Thomas officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 12:00 until 1:30 P.M. prior to the funeral at Paulk Funeral Home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Wilson was born December 12, 1922 in Ben Hill County to the late Luther C. and Mittie Gaff Padgett. She lived in Ben Hill County all of her life. A member of Dorminy Mill Baptist Church, she taught Sunday school for many years and was church pianist and choir director. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by daughters: Apricot (Herman) McIntyre of Irwinville, GA and Jackie (Wendell) Davis of Ben Hill County; Twin Sister: Juliette Bowen of Social Circle, GA and sister, Rosa Mae Mandon of Blairsville, GA; Brothers: Delano Padgett of Fitzgerald, GA and Sammie Padgett of Mississippi; Eight grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren; Daughter-in-laws: Donna Wilson and Glenda Wilson. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, W.J. Wilson, Jr.; Sons, Woody J. Wilson, III and James N. Wilson; Granddaughter, Robbie Lynn Wilson; Brothers, Henry Padgett and W.C. Padgett and sisters, Isabelle Smith and Marie Milner.
