Donald B. Woods, 86 of Duxbury and formerly of Walpole died September 11 in the Radius Healthcare Center in Plymouth. He was the husband of the late Marie (Ceglarski) who died in 1990.
Born in North Brookfield, November 26, 1922, the son of the late Clifton G. and Ethel (Livingstone) Woods, Mr. Woods had lived in Walpole for most of his life prior to moving to Duxbury 18 years ago.
Mr. Woods had been a corrections officer at MCI Norfolk for many years.
He served in the Navy during World War II attaining the rank of Chief Yeoman.
Mr. Woods enjoyed reading and being with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by; his sons Stephen Woods and his wife Patti of Duxbury and Brian Woods and his wife Bonnie of Duxbury.
He was the father of the late Kevin Woods.
He was also the brother of the late Phillip Woods and Barbara Murphy.
He is also survived by 8 grandchildren.
His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 15 in the Ginley Funeral Home, 892 Main St. in Walpole at 2:00 p.m.
Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery in South Walpole.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from Noon until 2:00 p.m.
