Walton, James F., age 77 of Sea Bright formerly of No. Bergen, NJ died September 11, 2009. Beloved husband of the late Gertrude (Gaye) (nee Donnelly). Devoted father of Jamie and Patrick Walton and the late Shiela Aveta. Loving grandfather of Joyce Aveta, Matthew, Samantha, Emily, Jay and Kelly. Cherished great grandfather of Madison Aveta. He was a Controller for Western Electric in Newark, NJ and served as the head of the New York City Emergency Financial Control Board in 1975 to restructure New York Cities debt and business practices during it’s financial crisis. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, and the Past Grand Knight of the Our Lady of Fatima Knights of Columbus. A mass of Christian Burial, Tuesday 10AM at Our Lady of Fatima, No. Bergen, NJ. Interment to follow at the Hillside Cemetery, Lynhurst, NJ.
