David J. Walsh, 51, a resident of LifePath of Bethlehem, PA, died on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at St.Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem, PA. He was born in Bethlehem, and was the son of the late Francis H. Walsh Jr. and Geraldine M. (Girouard) Walsh.
David will be lovingly remembered by two brothers, Francis H. Walsh III and his wife Linda of Lynnfield, MA, Peter Walsh and his companion Irene Jeruss of Bristol, CT., sister Jane Barnhart and her husband Richard of Bellingham, MA and nephew and nieces, Lauren Walsh, Peter Walsh, Jr., Kate Walsh and Amy Barnhart. David will also be lovingly remembered by his caregivers at LifePath, many of whom have become an extended family to the Walsh family. David was particularly close to Keyon Green and Lisa Hersh to whom the family is deeply indebted.
His family will receive guests Saturday morning, September 12th from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford followed by his Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Church, 74 Spring St. Fairhaven at 10 AM. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in New Bedford. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Life Path Inc. 3500 High Point Blvd. Bethlehem, PA 18020.
