Frank A Nieberding

Augusta, GA. – Mr. Frank A. Nieberding, husband of Rae Lou Nieberding, died peacefully at his home on Wednesday, September 9, 2009. Family members include his daughters: Lisa and Ron Wheatley of North Augusta; Tara and Steve Brown of Eugene, Oregon; his son: Joseph A. Nieberding and Rod Darnell of Atlanta; grandchildren: Chelsea, Ben, Kristen, Elizabeth and Will; two great-grandchildren; and his brother: David and Sue Dunaway of Seattle, Washington.
Mr. Nieberding was a native of Miami, Oklahoma but resided in Augusta for the last 50 years. He retired as a probation officer for Columbia County and was a Scuba diving instructor with Neptune Dive and Ski for many years.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet and Son with Fr. Tim Lijewski officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial. In lieu of flowers, Mr. Nieberding requested donations to the Southeastern Firefighters' Burn Foundation: 3614 J.
