Richard R. Roy, 70, beloved husband of Catherine(Dristiliaris) Roy, passed away suddenly, September 7th at Saints Medical Center. They would have celebrated their 21st anniversary on September 25th.
He was born June 7, 1939 in Lowell, Massachusetts a son of the late Jocelyn and Rita(Matteau) Roy.
Richard was a graduate of St Joseph’s High School and attended Lowell Tech.
Besides his wife, Catherine, he is survived by four sons, Richard Roy and his wife Marylou of Pelham, N.H., David Roy of Nashua, N.H., Michael Roy and his wife Haliet of Pelham, N.H., Christopher Roy and his wife Shelley of Raymond, N.H.; a daughter, Karen Dukeshire of Dracut; eight grandchildren, Jessica Roy of Plainsville, Ma., Sarah Roy of Jacksonville, Fl., Ross Roy of Westford, Kasey Roy of N.H., Katherine Dukeshire of Dracut, Rebecca and Samantha Roy of Raymond, N.H., Lauren Roy of Pelham, N.H.; three sisters, Sue Vaillancourt and her husband Bob, Denise Nunes and her husband Ted, Lillian Bedard and her husband Guy, two brothers, Jean-Marc Roy and his wife Patricia, and Michael Roy all of Lowell; a brother in law, Phillip Kalinowsky of Tyngsboro; and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother to the late Vivian Kalinowsky.
Friends will be received at the M. R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St. Lowell on Thursday from 4pm to 8pm. Interment will be private. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, memorial donations may be made in his memory to the American Red Cross, 391 Pawtucket St. Lowell, Ma. 01854-3221.
