POTTER, WILLIAM RICHARD SR.,66, of Ekron, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2009.
He was retired from management at KFC and was member of Beechwood Baptist Church. He was also a retired minister and a Navy veteran with 20 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Shirley- Ann Potter.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel Potter; children, William Potter Jr. (Hilda), Glenola Maggay and Edwin Potter (Lisa); brother, Phillip Potter (Joan); sisters, Beverly Harrington, Joyce Yeaton (George) and Phyllis Griffin (Paul); 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and also his nieces and nephews.
His service will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, with cremation to follow.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. Thursday after until the service.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Diabetes Association .
