MANCHESTER-Frances M. Roy, 74, died September 6, 2009 after a brief illness.
She was born August 18, 1935 in Manchester the daughter of Conrad and Blanche (Cote) LaForce and had been a lifelong resident of this city. She graduated from St. Joseph High School for Girls and attended Notre Dame College.
She loved gardening and had perfected the art of flower growing, many being proud recipients of her beautiful bouquets.
She and her husband hosted family reunions on the Merrimack River at their home where she was born. She loved family and friends and will always be remembered for her fun loving spirit and generosity.
Members of her family include her husband of 52 years, Donald H. Roy of Manchester, two sons Glen Roy of Naples, ME, Eric Roy of Brooklyn, NY, one daughter Sonya Reed of Candia, one sister Annette Richer of Manchester.
IN HER LIFE:She also leaves grandsons Christopher and Benjamin Roy of Naples, ME, granddaughter Bronwyn Reed of Candia, brother-in-law Richard Roy of N.Carolina, sister-in-law Colette Soterion of Bedford, daughter-in-law Joanne (Grimaldi) Roy of Naples, ME and daughter-in-law by arrangement Elizabeth Ruiz of Brooklyn, NY and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.
SERVICES-There are no calling hours. A committal service will be held Friday at noon in Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
