Obituary

Mr. Donald P. Nollett, age 82, died Sunday morning, September 6, 2009 after a brief illness. Born in Valentine, Nebraska, he was the son of the late Bettie Ula (Allen) & Paul C. Nollett.

Don was a veteran of World War II. He proudly served with the US Navy and US Marines. He was an avid Boston Red Sox fan, enjoying many games with family and friends. He graduated from Bentley College, and retired from the Raytheon Company in 1998 after many years of service working as a Sub Contract Administrator working with Missile Systems. He was a Stoneham resident for over 45 years.

Don is survived by his devoted wife Rita (Carangelo) Nollett. Beloved father of David Nollett and his wife Joanne of Wilmington, Denise Cole of NH, Desiree Maguire and her husband Jack of Wilmington, Donald P. Nollett Jr., and his wife Elaine of Saugus, Danielle Nesbit and her husband Joe of Stoneham. Also survived by 14 loving grandchildren and 6 loving great grandchildren. Brother of Gale Nollett and David Nollett. Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 374 Main St. WILMINGTON, Thursday at 8 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours Wednesday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.

It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made in Don's name to VNA Hospice Care, 100 Sylvan Rd., G-500,Woburn, MA 01801.
