Obituary

WORCESTER: Clara L. (Shlora) Trinder, 93, formerly of 65 Lake Avenue, died Monday, September 7, 2009, at Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center, 378 Plantation St. Her husband, Wallace A. Trinder, died May 25, 1967.
She leaves her sister, Ruth H. Hallinan of Worcester; and several nieces and nephews. Her brother, Raymond B. Shlora of Rye, NY, predeceased her. She was born and raised in Worcester, daughter of the late Walter F. and Helen (Remacka) Shlora. She graduated from Classical High School in 1935, Becker College in 1937, and lived in Worcester most of her life.
Clara was an executive assistant in the Worcester County Commissioners office where she worked for 41 years until retiring in 1983. She previously worked for several years at Horace Partridge Sporting Goods. She was a member of St. Anne Church in Shrewsbury, Maironis Park, the Retired State County and Municipal Employees Association, and the Bancroft Chapter of the AARP.
A CALLING HOUR will be held from 9:15 to 10:15 A.M. THURSDAY, Sept. 10, in KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 154 Lincoln St., followed by A FUNERAL MASS at 11 A.M. in ST. ANNE CHURCH, 130 Boston Turnpike, Shrewsbury. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury.
