Paul M. Finnerty, 56, of New Bedford died Saturday September 5, 2009 unexpectedly at St. Luke's Hospital. He was the husband of Susan (Roswell) Finnerty.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Stephen J. and Martha (Coholan) Finnerty, he lived in New Bedford for most of his life.
Mr. Finnerty was employed by the Gillette Company in South Boston.
He was a member of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick.
Survivors include his wife; four children, Michael J. Finnerty, Caitlin M. Finnerty, Daniel P. Finnerty, and Jessica E. Finnerty and her companion Meyer Brown, all of New Bedford; two brothers, Stephen J. Finnerty and his wife Diane of Mattapoisett, and Lawrence J. Finnerty and his wife Sarah of New Bedford; and several nieces, nephews, and aunts.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 AM at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
