In Taunton, September 4th 2009 Ernest N. Palladino loving husband of Ann (Carpenter) Palladino of 64 years, died at Morton Hospital after a short illness at the age of 86. Born in Boston and educated at Medford High School, Ernest was the son of the late Nicola and Liberata (Mattioli) Palladion. He was a proud member of the U.S. Navy serving during WWII. Ernest was a retired Taylor for Mattie & Co. in Boston for 50 years and for the last 17 years he was donating his time to the Brockton V.A. tailoring the veterans clothing. He was a member of the local Amalgated Clothing Union and the D.A.V. Chapter 57 in Taunton. Ernest was the loving father of Patricia Van Menk and her husband Robbert of Holland, Paula Vanelli and her partner John Ramos of N.H. and Stephen Palladino and his wife Susan of Tewksbury. Grandfather of Ryan and Jasper Van Menk both of Holland, Nicholas Vanelli of Holbrook, Michael Vanelli of R.I and Mark Palladino of Lowell. Great Grandfather of Vincenzo Vanelli of Holbrook. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton Wednesday September 9th at 8 am. Funeral Mass will be at St. Ann’s Church in Raynham at 9 am. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 5-8 pm. Interment will be held at the National Cemetery in Bourne, Ma at 11:15 am.
