Mary (Sylvia Jacome) Rezendes, age 95 of Swansea. Widow of Antone Rezendes and daughter of the late Manuel S. Jacome and Annie (Benevides) Jacome. Passed away September 4, 2009. She was a lifelong Swansea resident and a parishioner of St. Dominic Church. She was a retired sewing machine operator in the local needle industry.
She is survived by 3 children: Richard Rezendes, William Rezendes and his wife Nancy all of Swansea and Marlene Bombardier and her husband Norman of Warren, RI; 3 sisters: Gloria Medeiros of Fall River and Lillian King of Swansea and Dorothy Ducy of Milford; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was mother of the late Everett Rezendes and sister of the late Manuel Jacome Jr., Annie Pate and Janice Rezendes.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St. Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Dominic Church at 11:00 A.M.
