Marie V. ( Varalla) Moccia, of Stoneham formerly of Medford, passed away on Saturday January 12 2002. at the Aberjona Nursing Center, Winchester. She was 95 years of age.
Born in Italy, Mrs. Moccia came to the United States at the age of 9. She first settled in East Boston and then in Medford for 54 years until moving to Stoneham with her daughter. Her family was first in her life. Her grandchildren were very important to her.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Mrs. Moccia was the wife of the late Anthony Moccia. She is survived by her two daughters, Phyllis McLatchy of Woburn and Ann Marie Ceth of Stoneham, her seven grandchildren, Susan Harvey of Quincy, Robert McLatchy of New Hampshire, Dennis McLatchy of Maine, Donna Newcomb of Woburn, Lyne Moudarri of Tyngsboro, Laura Andriolo of Lexington, Karen Stabile of North Reading, her 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild
A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Patrick’s Church 71 Central St. Stoneham on Wednesday January 16th at 10 a.m.
