Obituary

WORCESTER-Thomas J. Foley, 58, passed away Thursday, September 3 at home after being stricken ill.

His wife of 36 years, Raquel M. (Giaquinto) Foley passed away in 2007. He leaves his two beloved children, Sean M. Foley and his wife, Kelly of Oxford and Lori A. Foley of Worcester; three grandchildren, Justin Daly, Erin and Sara Foley; his parents, Eugene and Evelyn (Mayo) Foley of Worcester; his mother-in-law, Rose Gaiquinto of Worcester; three brothers, Richard Foley of Worcester, John Foley of Worcester and James Foley of Holland; his sister, Patricia Foley of Auburn and many nieces and nephews. His brother, Robert Foley and his father-in-law, Joseph Giaquinto predeceased him.

He was born in Worcester and was a Vietnam War veteran serving with the Navy. Mr. Foley was a truck driver for various companies and was a member of The Teamsters Local #170. He was also a member of the Eagle’s Club. Tom loved spending time with his family especially his three grandchildren.

The funeral will be Tuesday, September 8 from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Stephen’s Church, 357 Grafton St. interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Monday, September 7 from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
