AUGUSTA, Ga. – Entered into rest Friday, September 4, 2009, Mr. Robert L. “Bobby” Johnson, 49, husband of Nanda Moore Johnson.
Mr. Johnson was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta. He was a retired electrician with RDI Electrical Co. and a member of Pierce United Methodist Church.
Family members in addition to his wife include his son: Robert Lynn Johnson II of Grovetown; stepson: Bradley Ryan Pickrell of Augusta; stepdaughter: Amy Marie Pickrell of Augusta; mother: Dorothy Mae James of Augusta; father: the late James F. Johnson; brothers: Frank Johnson and wife Sandy of Evans, Michael E. Johnson of Augusta; mother of his son: Susan James of Grovetown; stepfather: Charles E. James of Appling; stepmother: Carol M. Zwemier; a number of aunts, uncles, nephews and many close friends who have been wonderful throughout his illness.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 6, 2009 at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Paul Moore and Rev. Jerry McNutt officiating. Pallbearers will be Lynn Skinner, Carl Lynn, Wendell Johnson, Ricky Johnson, Gerald Robinson and Michael Gangarosa. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Hawkins, Ron Sicard, Brent Wolf, Leon Stephens, Bert Stevens, Tom Hudson, Kenny King and Danny Gavalenski. Interment will be in Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
