Margaret Towe Adkins, 92, Clarksville, died Friday, September 4, 2009, at Montgomery Care and Rehab Center. The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at Neal-Tarpley Chapel with Rev. Maury Norman officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of the service Sunday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born March 18, 1917 in Montgomery County daughter of the late Thomas Towe and Maude Hawkins Towe. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Adkins. Mrs. Adkins was a retired bookkeeper with the Clarksville Housing Authority. She was a former member of McAdoo Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a current member of Clarksville Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her son Jerry Adkins and wife Cheryl; two grandchildren, Melissa Adkins and Stephanie Matlock, and one great-grandchild, Jake Matlock.
