Marjorie A. (Canoni) Jones a life long resident of Wellesley died peacefully September 2, 2009 at home after a long illness. Age 88. Beloved mother of twin daughters Laurie Jones, with home she lived and Linda Foster and her husband Stephen P. and grandmother of Courtney Rose Foster and Matthew S. Foster all of Natick. She also leaves her loving grand pup Max. Sister-in-law of Laura Canoni of Natick. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Sister of the late Charles, John, Joseph, and Louis Canoni, Judith Swanson and Lenn Sara.
She had a long career in hair styling working first for her sister-in-law Olga Canoni, then later opening Marge Hair Stylist in Wellesley Hills. Her joys were fishing at the Cape with her brothers and doing the New York Sunday crossword puzzles in ink.
Visiting hours at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St., Wellesley on Tuesday, Sept. 8 from 6-8 PM. Followed by a closing prayer at 8 PM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment private. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in Marjorie’s memory to the Hospice of the Good Shepherd, 2042 Beacon St., Newton, MA 02468-1431, for the care they provided.
