
Laurette G. Pelchat, 83, of Goffstown, died August 31, at CMC, surrounded by her family, after a period of declining health. She was born February 16, 1926, and was the daughter of Ovila and Marie (Gariepy) Lamy. She received her early education at Holy Angels High School, and had been a member of St. Marie parish.
She was a communicant of St. Edmond Church for 51 years and was a Eucharistic Minister, and was co-chair of the Bingo Committee for 35 years.
Laurette worked at the Bee Bee Shoe factory store , Hosiery Mills, NH college, St. Peter’s Home and Alphabets, where she befriended many children. She retired over twenty years ago. She enjoyed bingo, dominos, crocheting, going to the beach, and mountains. Laurette will be remembered as a loving and caring, wife, mother, and grandmother.
IN HER LIFE: Family members include her husband of 63 years, Charles Pelchat, of Goffstown;3 daughters, Diane Leblanc, and her husband Robert, of Manchester, Susan Gagne, and her husband Gerard, of Sanborton, Linda LaPlante, and her husband Richard, of Manchester; a son, Lionel Pelchat, and his wife Sylvia, of FL; 3 grandchildren, Stephanie Gagne, and her husband Mike Whiting, of Dunbarton, Christopher Leblanc, of Goffstown, Stacey Gagne, and her fiancé, Todd York, of Manchester; one great grand daughter, Krysta; ; 2 brothers, Leo Lamy, of Chester, Raymond Lamy, of Manchester; 3 sisters, Irene Laverdiere, of Portsmouth, Claire Browning, of Hooksett, Theresa Doucette, of Rochester. She was predeceased by 3 brothers, Armand Laurent and Roger Lamy, and 2 sisters Yvette Hebert, Sister Marie Claire Lamy.
A funeral Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Friday, September 4, 2009 at St. Marie Church, Notre Dame Ave. Manchester.
Encryptment took place at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, Goffstown Rd. Manchester.
