Obituary

Whitman – Daniel E. O’Toole 69, died Tuesday September 1 in his Whitman home after a brief illness.

Born and raised in South Boston he was the son of the late Peter and Mary (Walsh) O’Toole, and a graduate of a Catholic High School in South Boston.

He was a veteran of the US Army having served in Vietnam.

Dan worked as a designer for Sturdy Lantern Light of S. Boston. He was a volunteer for the CWT Program at the VA Hospital in Brockton for many years.

He enjoyed bowling and was a member of a man’s bowling league in Brockton.

He is survived by his companion of thirty years Arlene Kamborian of Whitman, his children Daniel O’Toole of S. Boston, Donna O’Toole of CA, Debbie O’Toole and Sharon Miller both of S. Boston, his brother Jackie MacFarland of E. Falmouth, his sisters Mary Murphy, Alice Lawler, Peggy Lee, and Joan Cook all of S. Boston. He was the brother of the late Peter and Paul O’Toole and Winifred Berry.

His funeral service will be Thursday September 3 at 8 PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman. Burial will take place on Friday Sept. 4 at 9:15 AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel followed by graveside prayers at 10 AM in the Northville Cemetery, East Bridgewater. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service on Thursday from 4-8 PM.
