Nestor, Paul P., of Quincy, retired Captain of the Quincy Police Department and WWII Veteran, died Sunday, August 30, 2009 at home surrounded by his family.
Beloved husband of Marilyn (DiCarlo). Loving father of Milan Alibrandi and her husband Tony, Patricia Stearns and her husband Jay, Marie Sullivan, all of Quincy and Paul and his wife Darnell of Plympton. Cherished Grandfather of Sean, Patrick, and Sarah Sullivan, Anthony, Joseph and Michael Alibrandi, and Jason and Zachary Stearns. Brother of Thomas (Frank) of Weymouth and the late Marie Birmingham, John, George and Patricia and many nieces and nephews.
Paul entered the Navy in 1946 and was discharged in 1948. He was a graduate of Burdett College in 1951. Mr. Nestor worked for Donnelly Advertising Co. before joing the Quincy Police department in 1955, retiring in 1991. Paul was a member of the Koch Club, Quincy City Club and the Knights of Columbus. He was also a communicant at Sacred Heart Church, N. Quincy.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Wednesday from 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 8:15AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church at 9 AM.
Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
