Mr. J. North Williamson

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Monday, August 31, 2009, Mr. J. North Williamson, 80, husband of Mary Bragg Williamson.
Mr. Williamson was a veteran of the US Army serving in the Korean War and retired from the Richmond County Tax Commissioner Office after 36 years, most of which were spent serving as Assistant Tax Commissioner. He was a member of St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church. His love of golf began at an early age and continued throughout his life.
Family members in addition to his wife include his son: North Williamson, Jr. of Fredericksburg, VA; daughters: Courtenay M. Williamson of Augusta, Caryl Williamson of Jackson, WY; brothers: Charles J. Williamson III of Augusta, Marcellus Stovall Williamson of Ocoee, FL; 2 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
A Memorial service will be held Thursday, September 3, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church, with Rev. Ellen Francis Poisson officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Church Memory Garden.
