Angela P. (Hajduk) Naber, 89, of Franklin, died Thursday, August 27 at the UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester. She was the beloved wife of Raymond E. Naber united in marriage for 61 years.
She was born in Plains, PA on March 13, 1920, the daughter of the late Thomas and Pauline (Wolanski) Hydock. She was Salutatorian and Class Secretary of Plains High School Class of 1937 and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from College Misericordia in 1941.
She was a resident of Franklin for 55 years and was assistant treasurer of the former Puritan Drugs, Inc. in Franklin.
She had also worked as a substitute teacher for Plains High School in Plains, PA and at various government agencies in the accounting field including the Social Security Administration.
She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Franklin and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Women's Club.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three loving children, Nancy Plonowski and her husband, Paul, of Hanover, Marian Thomas of Wilmington, DE, and Mark Naber and his wife Susan of Centreville, VA.
She was the devoted grandmother of eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren and was the dear sister of Joseph Hydock, of Garden Grove, CA, Helen Rutkowski of Kingston, PA and Lucy Sherman of Plains, PA and dear sister-in-law of Daniel and Shirley Naber of San Diego, CA and loving aunt of many nieces and nephews.
She was mother-in-law of the late Daniel Thomas.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Wednesday, September 2 at 9:15 a.m. from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St., followed by a funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Church, Church Square, Franklin at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Mary Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 5 - 8 p.m.
