Obituary

Charles A. "Chuck" Vaughan, 44, of New Bedford died August 28, 2009 at home after a long illness.
Born in New Bedford, the son of Wesley Vaughan, Sr. and Carol (Russell) Vaughan of Largo, FL, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.
Chuck was a member of the International Church of the Nazarene.
He was employed as a commercial fisherman on several vessels of the New Bedford fleet.
Chuck was an avid sports fisherman and enjoyed watching the Boston RedSox the New England Patriots and the Boston Bruins with his dog Merlin.
Survivors include his parents; a son, Nathan Vaughan of Marion; a daughter, Justine Martinez Vaughan of Richardson, TX; 3 brothers, Wesley Vaughan, Jr. of Freetown, Paul Vaughan of Plainville and Joel Costa of New Bedford; 2 sisters, Tammy Isherwood of Acushnet and Jody DeLuca of Seminole, FL; his grandmother, Ruth (Bernard) Russell of New Bedford; several aunts and uncles including Gail Russell of New Bedford; several nieces and nephews.
He was the grandson of the late Charles A. Russell, Stephen and Mae (Peters) Vaughan.
Visiting hours Tuesday, September 1st from 4-7 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 or to the American Daibetes Association, 330 Comgress St. #501, Boston, MA 02210.
