William C. Noonan, 68

William C. Noonan, 68, of Mansfield formerly of Florida, Wilmington and Woburn passed away on Saturday August 29, 2009 at the Golden Living Center Garden Place in Attleboro.
Born in Lowell, MA on February 19, 1941 he was a dear son of the late William G. and Ann S. (Sullivan) Noonan.
Billy grew up in North Woburn and was educated in Woburn schools. His family was former parishioners of St. Anthony’s Church in Woburn.
A resident of Mansfield for the past year he had previously lived in Kissimmee, Florida where Mr. Noonan was a self-employed landscaper, an occupation he maintained for most of his life. His family had also lived in Wilmington for many years.
Billy had a special love for horses, he enjoyed playing bingo, listening to country western music and attending antique car events. He was also an avid sports fan and the number one rooter for the Boston Red Sox.
He is survived by his children Gary Noonan, Brian Noonan and Lisa Noonan. He was the devoted brother of Charlotte A. Downs and her husband Clifton of Mansfield and is also survived by his aunt Gladys G. Vose of Nashua, New Hampshire, his niece Leann Taylor of Mansfield, his nephews Jeffrey Downs of Foxboro and Ronald Downs of Brighton. He was also the uncle of the late Jayne Downs.
Graveside funeral services, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Thursday September 3rd at 11:00 A.M. at the Wildwood Cemetery in Wilmington.
Visiting hours are omitted and in lieu of flowers Billy’s family has requested that donations in his memory be made to Aseracare Hospice 40 Washington St. Wellesley, MA 02481.
