PORTMAN, JAMES THOMAS "JIM," 72, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at Clark Memorial Hospital.
He worked for GE for 42 years and was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church.
He was a commissioner in the Boy Scouts and was an avid camper for the past 40 years.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Regina "Jeannie" Portman; children, Cathy Maddux (John) and James P. "Jimmy" Portman; grandchildren, Nicole, Ali and Regan; several great-grandchildren; and sisters, Anna Boyd, Mildred Bauder, Emily Rice, Mary Portman, and Barbara Taylor.
Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Paul Catholic Church, 6901 Dixie Hwy., with burial to follow in St. Andrews Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday noon-8p.m. at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy.
