NICHOLS, SHIRLEY ANN, 78, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2009.
She was a retired employee for the Jefferson County Clerk's Office, a Kentucky Colonel and a member of Southside Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry L. Nichols Jr.; Norman Lee Nichols, her son; and her parents, Fred and Sally Pippin.
Survivors include her sons, Richard B. Rutledge, David B. Rutledge (Carole), Henry L. Nichols III (Denise) and Shane D. Nichols (Trish); her daughters, Judith A. Rutledge Langworthy (Gilbert) and Sheila S. Nichols; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many friends who loved her.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Life Church Louisville, 4413 E. Pages Lane, with cremation to follow. Interment will be 2 p.m. Friday at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation is 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Wednesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway.
