San Diego CA- Kim L. (Andrade) Fortes: died unexpectedly at home Saturday, August 22, 2009. She was the wife of Avelino J. Fortes and the mother of Joshua L. Andrade, Jacob D. Fortes, Kareem G. Fortes of San Diego and John McNamara of New Bedford MA.
Kim was the maternal grandmother of Syria McNamara, Dominic Andrade and Yamilet Andrade. Suviors include her mother, Julia B. Andrade and father Peter Andrade of New Bedford. Kim was also the sister of Robert Barboza, Mark Andrade, Martin Andrade, Jon Andrade, Scott Andrade, Keith Andrade, Barbara Andrade, Jessi Andrade, Nadine Britto of New Bedford, MA, Brain Andrade, of Cleveland OH, Marco Lopes of Taunton MA and Herbert “Skip” Lopes of NC.
She was also the sister of the late Donn De Andrade, Craig Andrade & Kenneth Andrade.
Kim is survived by several nieces and nephews. Kim was a communicate of Holy Name Church.
Visiting hours will be Sunday, August 30th at the Perry Funeral Home on Dartmouth Street, from 1 to 4 P.M. with services to be held during visitation.
The family asks in lieu of flowers, donations are welcome.
In accordance with her wishes she will be cremated.
