METHUEN - Diane R. (Michaud) Smith, age 44, died Wednesday, August 26, 2009, of an apparent heart attack at her home in Methuen. She was the wife of Joseph Smith.
She was born September 22, 1964, a daughter of Chanel and Claire (Gauthier) Michaud and lived her entire life in Methuen. She is best known for her devotion to her children Cameron N. and Patrick P. Smith both of Methuen. She was a member of the MA Nurses Association, a communicant of St. Michael's Church in North Andover, and the St. Michael's School PTO.
Besides her husband Joseph, her children, Cameron and Patrick, and her parents, Chanel and Claire Michaud, she is survived by her brother and sister-in-law; David C. and his wife Nancy Michaud of Methuen, her sister Claire Marie of CT, her father-in-law and mother-in-law Leonard and Judith Smith of Tewksbury, and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Judith C. Reynolds, Paul G. Michaud, and Carol Michaud.
Her Funeral Mass was celebrated Monday, August 31, in St. Michael's Church, North Andover. Burial followed at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen. Memorials to the Jimmy Fund, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445 or the National Marfan Foundation, 22 Manhasset Ave., Port Washington, NY 11050 will be appreciated.
