Denmark, ME - Ivane F. (Wilson) Thibodeau, of Denmark, ME, passed away peacefully at home with her loved ones Tuesday afternoon, August 25. She was the wife of the late Joseph G.P. Thibodeau and the daughter of the late David B. Wilson and Marion A. (Brooks). She was born in Somerville, MA on Sept. 7, 1930, and raised her family in Tewksbury. She was a lively, adventurous woman. Family and her community meant the world to her. She was known in her community by the children she served lunch everyday in the Tewksbury Schools. She was a strong woman who won the battle of Breast Cancer while never wiping the smile off of her face. Not long after, she was struck with the life altering disease of Alzheimers. It was after then that she moved up north with her two sons and grandchildren. She began her traveling and camping once again. Traveling across the country, eating lobster by the beach, ice cream runs in the side-car of her son's Harley, swimming at the lake, and just laying in the sun singing and watching the birds were just a few of her favorite things to do. After almost 10 years, she slowly became the Gram her family came to know Tuesday when she took her last breath. She was small, tired, and ready to end another chapter in her life. She will be remembered by The Thibodeau Family of Denmark, ME, Sons, David and James, Grandchildren, Todd and Lindsay. The Churchill Family of Woburn, MA, Daughter, Susan, Grandchildren, John and Linda. The Ringland Family, Sister, Lois.
A graveside service will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery in Tewksbury, MA, Tuesday, September 1, at 1pm.
