Whitman – Michael P. Rollins 29, died unexpectedly Wednesday August 26 in New Hampshire. He was the beloved son of Philip S. and Charlene A. (Fagan) Rollins.
Born in Dorchester and raised in Whitman he was a graduate of Whitman-Hanson High School Class of 1998, and had been a resident of Manchester, NH for the past two years.
Michael worked in retail for many years. He was an avid and talented bowler and participated in bowling leagues. He enjoyed golfing and was a fan of all sports.
In addition to his loving parents he is survived by his brother Timothy Rollins of Whitman, his sister Michelle Jones and her husband Michael of Hanson, and was a devoted godfather to his special niece Lilly Jones. He is also survived by his loving companion Kenna Burt of New Hampshire, his grandmother Barbara Fagan of Braintree, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was the grandson of the late Charles E. Fagan, Sr. and the late Elton and Phyllis Rollins.
His funeral service will be held Tuesday September 1 at 9:15 AM form the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman, followed by a mass at 10 AM in the Holy Ghost Church, Whitman. Burial will follow in the St. James Cemetery, Whitman. Visiting hours will be held Monday August 31 from 4-8 PM. Donations in his name may be made to My Brothers Keeper, Inc.
