Jacqueline E. “Jacqui” (Wernig) Voulgaris, 76, of Bellingham, died Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at Milford Regional Medical Center. She was the wife of Charles Voulgaris who died in 1972.
Born in Boston on October 29, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Alice (Mercier) Wernig.
Mrs. Voulgaris grew up in the south end of Boston and had resided in Dorchester and Quincy until moving to Bellingham in 1984.
A homemaker all of her life, Mrs. Voulgaris enjoyed cooking and was an avid Boston Bruins fan. She loved animals and had many pets throughout her life.
She is survived by; her daughter, Doreen R. Donaldson and her husband, Jim of Bellingham, two granddaughters, Charlene McDonald and her husband, Jim of Bellingham and Kimberly Donaldson of Dorchester and two great-grandchildren, Cameron and Madison McDonald.
She was the sister of the late Phil Wernig.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Saturday, August 29 from the Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St., Medway at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at St. Brendan’s Church in North Bellingham at 11 a.m.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4 - 8 p.m.
