Ridge, John P. "Jack" of Scituate, formerly of Quincy, died on August 24, 2009, surrounded by his loving family.
Beloved son of the late John J. Ridge and Bridget "Daisy" (Flaherty). Loving brother of Mary C. Coughlan of W. Yarmouth, Catherine A. Fay and her husband Edward of Scituate and Martin F. Ridge of Quincy. Uncle of Nancy Fay of Scituate, Janice DiPesa of Scituate and E.B. Fay of Quincy. Great Uncle of Matthew, Caroline and Ben DiPesa. Also survived by several cousins in the US and overseas.
Jack was a gentle soul who loved his life and family. He was an investigator in Veteran's Affairs for the Commonwealth of MA. Mr. Ridge was proud to serve his country in the Army as a paratrooper during WWII.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Friday from 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Saturday, prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann's Church, Wollaston at 10 AM.
Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
