Meryl E. Witti, 80

Worcester- Meryl E Witti passed peacefully away on August 25th, 2009 in Millbury at the home of her son John S. Witti and his wife Nancy M. Burbank. In addition to her son, she leaves a grandson Christopher S. Witti, of Keene, NH, a sister Margaret Schwartz of Ducor, CA, a nephew Bruce Scanlon and his wife Julie of Firestone, CO, and close family friend Larry Lindquist of Worcester, and several grand nieces and nephews.

Born in St John, New Brunswick, Canada, daughter of Sadie (Kane) Anderson and William H Anderson, the family moved to Massachusetts in 1945.

Meryl worked at Kemper Ins. 1962-1969. In 1969 she started as a Kelly Girl at Worcester County National Bank, which later became Shawmut, where she worked until she retired in 1992.

After her retirement, she volunteered at the Worcester Public Library, Frances Perkins Branch, Greendale, and was active in her neighborhood Crime Watch.

Reading mystery novels was her passion. She loved to watch Redsox baseball, golf, bowling, and mysteries on TV.

There will be no calling hours. A graveside ceremony will be held at Rural Cemetery, 180 Grove St. in Worcester on Monday, August 31st at 11:00 AM.
