Obituary

TAUNTON – Margaret L. King, a longtime Taunton resident, died at Morton Hospital on Aug. 24, 2009.
She was 91.
Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Charles J. and Rose A. (Morris) King.
Educated in Taunton and Canton schools, Miss King was head seamstress for Taunton State Hospital, where she was employed for over 30 years.
She retired in 1962.
A Life Member of the VFW Post 611, Ladies Auxiliary, Miss King was a member of the Oakland Seniors, and a former member of St. Jude the Apostle Church.
She enjoyed knitting, sewing, and traveling.
Miss King is survived by several nieces and nephews, and was the sister of the late Leo, Charles and Arthur King and the late Gwendolyn Maciel.
Funeral Services will be held at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway on Friday, Aug. 28th at 11 a.m.
The family will receive visitors on Friday morning from 10 to 11, prior to the service.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the VFW National Home for Children, 3573 S. Waverly Road, Eaton Rapids, MI 48827 or to the charity of ones choice.
