Obituary

Mr. Steven R. Trotter, age 43 of Somerville, formerly of Medford died Sunday in the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Steve died while engaged in his favorite activity, fishing. Born in Stafford Springs , CT., he was the son of Leslie Asdot and Grandson of Christine Asdot both of ME. He graduated from Medford Vocational High School, class of 1984.
He worked as a Warehouseman and was a proud member of Teamsters, Local #25 , employed in the New England Produce Center in Chelsea. He was a member of the Teamsters for more than 10 years.
Although his greatest love was fishing, he was known to enjoy bicycle riding and the simple pleasures in life. He is described as a free spirit who lived life to the fullest and was a loving, affectionate son. In addition to his mother and grandmother, he is survived by two sisters, April Serio of Saugus and her husband Louis, Kelley Ianno of Medford and her husband Gino and a brother Robert Trotter of Maine and his wife Andrea. He also leaves his loving companion Kimmi Brosseau-Sanford and her children Matthew and Kristi Sanford all of Saugus. Cherished nephew of Peter Asdot of ME. Uncle of Nicole, Jessica, Melissa, Robert, Gino 3rd, & Christopher. He also leaves several other aunts and uncles. Friends may call on Saturday from 1-3:30 pm at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford. Visitation will conclude with a funeral service at 3:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Steve’s memory may be sent to the Gloucester Fishing Community Preservation Fund. 10 Witham Street Gloucester, MA 01930-4505.
