Obituary

Stephen T. “Buddy” Keane, passed away suddenly at the Mass. General Hospital in Boston, on Saturday. He was the husband of Blanche E. (Pattie).

Born in Boston seventy-eight years ago, he was raised in Woburn and a graduate of Woburn High School. He was the son of the late Anna E. (Lincoln) and Thomas Keane.

“Buddy” enlisted in the US Navy during World War II and worked as a seabee. After the war he stayed in the Navy Reserves retiring in 1985. For over thirty years he was employed by the White Fuel Company of Boston before his retirement. He was devoted to raising his family, and was a member of the Medford VFW Post 1012, American Legion Post 45, a member of Local 25 Teamsters and a proud member of MCB 12 Seabee Association.

In addition to his wife Blanche, he is survived by his four sons; Stephen G. of Billerica, William J. And his wife Cheryl of Woburn, Michael T and his wife Robyn of Franklin, NH., and David P. Keane of Medford, one daughter Patricia A. Cataldo and her husband Ron of Lynnfield. Also twelve loving grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He also leaves two sisters; Phyllis Downey of Woburn, and Barbara Ciullo of Maine, two brothers; Donald Keane of FL., and William Keane of Woburn. He was predeceased by two brothers Russell and Robert Keane.

His funeral will be held from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St. Medford, on Wednesday at 8 a.m. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church 512 High St. Medford at 9. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
