WORCESTER__Carmen (Torres) Aulet, 87, died Thursday August 20, 2009 after an illness in her home surrounded by her family and friends. She is preceded in death and reunited with her beloved husband of nearly 70 years, Carmelo Aulet Sr.
She leaves her loving family and her children, who she adored; a son, Carmelo Aulet Jr. and his wife, Minerva (Diaz), six daughters, Mariluz (Aulet) Quinones and her husband, Antonio, Nitza (Aulet) Flores and her husband, Reynaldo, Irma (Melendez) Salas and her husband, Juan, Milagros, Nereida and Ero Aulet; two brothers, Juan and Win Torres, one sister, Luz Delia Torres, 30 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 8 great great- grandchildren. She was born in Puerto Rico, a daughter of Lino and Josefa (Alicea) Torres. Mrs. Torres was a hard working woman and loving mother.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 25, in DIRSA - MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. A calling hour will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 25, in the funeral home.
