WEBSTER - Robert G. “Bob” Klouda, 78, died Friday, August 21, at home in the company of his family.
He leaves his wife of 47 years, Mary Ann (Aberle) Klouda; a son, Gregory R. Klouda and his wife Denise of Lancaster; three daughters, Sally T. Kasper and her husband Timothy of San Diego, CA, Rebecca M. Wagner and her husband Jason of Mansfield, and Julie A. MacClinchy and her husband Christopher of Kennebunk, ME; seven grandchildren, Benjamin, Timothy and Anna Klouda, Dylan and Ryan Kasper, and Jacob and Caitlyn Wagner; a brother, James C. Klouda and his wife Marilyn of Downers Grove, IL; four sisters, Mildred Losee of Benton, KY, Lillian Jenson and her husband Harold of Baker, MT, Dorothy Matthisen of Park Ridge, IL, and Marilyn Mikota and her husband Gene of Chicago, IL; nephews and nieces.
He was born in Chicago, IL, a son of James M. and Anna (Pergler) Klouda. He graduated from Gage Park High School in Chicago in 1948. He then earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana in 1954.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Klouda was an electrical engineer for Uniroyal Tire in Chicopee. He also taught physics, drafting and mechanical drawing in California, in Chicopee and in Holyoke.
He was a member of Saint Anthony of Padua Church in Dudley. He enjoyed golfing and tinkering with cars.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, August 25, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street, with a Mass at 10:30 AM in Saint Anthony of Padua Church, 24 Dudley Hill Road, Dudley. A graveside service, with full military honors, will be held at 1:00 PM in Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Mansfield that day. A calling period will be from 9:00 to 10:00 AM Tuesday, August 25, in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Red Cross of Central Mass., 2000 Century Drive, Worcester, MA 01606-1256.
