Betsy (Livingston) Angus, 54, of North Attleboro passed away on Thursday August 20, 2009 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of Robert D. Angus to whom she married on November 23, 1996.
Born in Providence, Rhode Island on December 11, 1954 she was a dear daughter of Ruth A. (Swanson) Livingston of North Attleboro and the late Allan C. Livingston.
Betsy grew up in Attleboro, was educated in Attleboro public schools and was a 1973 graduate of Attleboro High School. She had worked as a Sales Manager for Robert Allen Fabrics in Mansfield for 21 years.
An avid reader, Betsy was also an accomplished cook and was constantly improving her skills by learning new cooking tips watched on television cooking shows. She loved spending time with her family and will be sadly missed by the families dog “Sophie” who was always by her side. Betsy had made her home in North Attleboro for the past 27 years.
In addition to her beloved husband and mother she is survived by her devoted daughter Amanda L. Yarusites of North Attleboro and Amanda’s boyfriend Vinny Rosata of Plainville. She was the cherished sister of A. Scott Livingston and his wife Sue of Mason, Ohio and Timothy F. Livingston and his wife Mary of North Attleboro. Betsy is also survived by her adoring aunt Hazel P. Swanson of North Attleboro as well as several other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Wednesday August 26th at 10:00 A.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton. Burial will follow in the Norton Common Cemetery in Norton.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday August 25th from 5-8 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers Betsy’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to the North Attleboro Animal Shelter care of Town of North Attleboro 43 South Washington St. North Attleboro, MA 02760.
